When do they start? the wiki doesnt say

Noon PST (-7 GMT) is when the Halloween fun starts. It's on the GW login screen.

The drops are never mentioned on wiki or guildwars.com. It is one of those things that they assume everyone knows. But drops for any event appear with the beginning of the event and continue until the event ends.

Not getting any drops here, so I presume it hasn't started yet even though it was scheduled to start a little while ago.

As of this post, the event doesn't start for another 40 minutes or so.

Noon -7 GMT is 7 PM here and it's past 7 PM now, so either I'm being incredibly stupid and missing something obvious or what the hell?

update - farmed the entire green hills county solo in pre
oh joy of joys 2hrs for 1 bag. my day is complete

Hey astro; I think you're doing it wrong.

Green Hills is way too open for effective farming.
You should try killing gargoyles (and maybe skels) under Ashford Abby. When you first warp in, there's an opening behind Necro Munne's(?) building. Just keep killing gargoyles till you hit Green Hills, then turn around and repeat.
Lots of pushover enemies is the key to holiday farming.
